Oleg Ptashnyk is a rational dreamer. A clothing and accessories designer, traveler, and skateboarder to begin with. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, where his creative roots grew through the stubborn social standards, where the mix of skate scene and punk music influenced his mindset and pushed him to inventive self-awareness. That was the place where he launched Peace Date in 2009, Ukraine’s first skateboard and streetwear apparel brand.
He started with just three t-shirt designs and quickly expanded to a full collection of pants, jackets, sweatshirts, hats, and bags. Oleg's designs were inspired by urban culture, people, nature, and the city itself. The goal was to achieve high quality with exclusively local production and keep the price range affordable for everyone interested. Positive feedback didn’t take long to bring his name to the map of a new generation of designers. Enormous support and many compelling collaborations with Ukrainian artists, photographers, and musicians came along. Peace Date was featured on MTV, Dazed, Buro 247, Gloss.ua, and others.
Since 2017, Oleg has been based in New York City. He has worked as a product developer and production coordinator at Saturdays NYC and launched his bag brand, Kolii, inspired by the city's transformative energy. He has also collaborated with various fashion brands, offering design and consultation services. Currently, Oleg is a Lead Designer at Noah.
